Are your courses exam board-specific?

Edited

The majority of our courses are tailored to specific exam boards. This allows students to focus on content and exam questions relevant to their syllabus.

However, there are a few exceptions:

  • GCSE Summer Refresher courses: These courses are revision-focused, covering general Year 10 GCSE content. Since much of this material is common across different exam boards at this stage in the qualification, these courses are designed to be beneficial to all students.

  • A Level Maths courses: Unlike other subjects, the content for A Level Maths is universal across exam boards, which means our pure, statistics and mechanics courses are suitable for all students. However, since Edexcel is the most popular exam board, we use Edexcel past paper questions during the course. You can get an idea of the style of their questions here.

How do I know which exam board a course is for?
You can easily see which exam board a course is tailored for on the course page. We list the exam boards on the right-hand sidebar and also in the ticket name so you can be sure you’re booking the correct course.

What if my exam board isn’t listed?
If your exam board isn’t listed for a course, don’t worry! Get in touch with us, and we can advise whether a course designed for a similar exam board would still be suitable for you. In many cases, the content overlaps enough to make the course valuable. If not, we can help arrange 1-to-1 tutoring for more personalised support.

How do I know what exam board my child is doing?
To find out which exam board your child is taking, start by checking their school’s website. Exam boards are often listed in course materials, so you can also look at your child’s textbooks or revision guides for this information. If you’re still unsure, contacting the school directly is the best way to confirm.
