My Whiteboard is lagging or delayed

Edited

If the whiteboard feels slow, delayed, or out of sync during a lesson, this is usually related to internet connection or device performance. Please work through the checks below.

Connectivity issues

Whiteboard lag is most commonly caused by an unstable internet connection.

Check that you are connected to a stable Wi-Fi network (or use a wired connection if possible). If your connection is weak, try moving closer to your router or disconnecting other devices from the network.

Make sure you are using the most up-to-date version of your browser. Using an outdated browser can affect whiteboard performance.

You can also review Lessonspace’s network and device requirements for guidance.

Drawing lag when using a graphics tablet

If the delay only happens when you are writing with a graphics tablet, this may be related to browser compatibility.

Lessonspace supports most major writing tablet brands, but performance can vary depending on your browser. Check your tablet manufacturer’s website to confirm which browsers are supported.

If you are using a wireless tablet, ensure your internet connection is stable. If possible, connect your tablet using a cable instead of Bluetooth to reduce delay.

My student is not seeing the same part of the whiteboard

If your student cannot see the same area of the whiteboard as you, make sure Leading mode is enabled.

Turn on Leading mode so your student’s view follows yours. LINK

Please note that if your student is using a device with a different screen size or resolution, their view of the whiteboard may appear slightly different.
