Do I need to provide proof of my qualifications to apply to PMT Education?

Edited

Absolutely – we offer a high-quality service and need to know our tutors are qualified for the job. The minimum we need is proof of your highest level qualification, preferably in the subject you wish to teach.

Providing us with proof is easy – you’ll be prompted to upload all the relevant documentation during the online application process. If you mention in your application that you’ve also worked in other areas of education (for example as a teacher), then we’d like you to provide documentation confirming those details too.

Once we’ve received your application, we’ll verify all the information you’ve provided. Only your verified qualifications will appear in the ‘qualifications’ section of your public profile, as shown below:

If you have uploaded a certificate of your university degree, you will receive a tick on your profile which shows anyone viewing your profile that you’re a graduate. If you upload proof of enrolment at university, you will receive a student tick instead.

If you are a qualified teacher, examiner, or have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) training, you will also receive a tick on your profile.

Do I need to add all my qualifications?

No, we recommend you display the qualifications which are most relevant to your tutoring level.

For example, if you’re a university student and a relatively new tutor, you’d probably want to show your A-level results or equivalent. If you’re a qualified teacher, however, your degree and teaching qualifications would be more appropriate. Think of them as selling points.
