What can I tutor with PMT?

Edited

We offer tuition across a wide range of subjects, qualifications, and university entrance exams — but before you dive into the list, make sure you meet our key requirements.

Subject specialism required

We believe our tutors should be experts in the subjects they teach.

  • You must hold - or be studying for - a degree in or related to the subject(s) you wish to tutor. For example, a Biology degree is not acceptable for tutoring English, but a Physics degree is acceptable for tutoring Maths.

  • A Level alone is not enough — you can’t apply to tutor a subject just because you studied it at school.

How many subjects can I tutor?

You’ll select your subjects during the application. To maintain high standards of subject expertise we limit how many subjects tutors can offer:

  • Up to two A Level subjects - except for tutors applying to teach Maths, Further Maths, and Physics, this is allowed as a trio.

  • Up to three GCSE subjects

We may restrict these based on your qualifications and experience.

How do I select the subjects, levels, and exam boards I want to offer when I apply?

During the application process, you’ll be asked to:

  • Select the subjects you’d like to tutor

  • Choose the levels you're confident offering (GCSE, A Level, etc.)

  • Pick the exam boards you’re familiar with

These selections help students and parents find you using our search filters — especially when they’re looking for tutors experienced with a specific exam board.
