What is the DBS update service?

The DBS Update Service is a government provided service which keeps your enhanced DBS certificate up-to-date, without having to apply for a new one. It also allows parents, students and employers to check your record quickly and conveniently online, with your consent.
The service currently costs just £16 a year, and you have to subscribe to it within 30 days of the issue date of your certificate.
Let us know if you're on the Update Service
To let us know you're on the update service and you're happy for us to check it you need to tick the box which says “I am on the government’s update service and I am happy for PMT Education to check my DBS status using this service” in your profile.
