I have an enhanced DBS check and/or I’m on the update service, how do I let you know?
If you have an enhanced DBS check, getting your DBS status verified is a breeze. If your certificate has been issued within the last 2 years, or if you’re on the update service, all you have to do is let us know so we can verify your status.
During the online application process, you’ll be prompted to fill out relevant information about your DBS if you have one. This information includes:
Your DBS certificate number
The date of issue
Your surname, as it appears on the DBS certificate
Your date of birth, as it appears on the DBS certificate
Whether or not you’re on the update service (and if you consent to PMT Education checking this)
A copy of your enhanced DBS certificate (which you’ll be prompted to upload).
From there, we’ll verify your DBS certificate and/or check the update service via the government’s website. If everything looks good, we’ll add a badge to your profile, which will be visible to parents, guardians and students.
