What documents do I need for the ID verification step?

To complete an enhanced DBS check through our partnership with Personnel Checks, you’ll need to verify your identity online using their ID verification system.

You’ll need to provide two documents in total, chosen from the approved list below. These documents are used to confirm your name and date of birth.

• The documents you provide must collectively confirm your name and date of birth.

• All documents must be valid, current, and original.

• Expired documents cannot be accepted.

You can choose any two of the following:

• Passport (accepted from over 200 countries)

• Driving licence (accepted from over 100 countries)

• National identity card (accepted from over 60 countries)

• UK CitizenCard

• UK Young Scot Card

• UK Post Office PASS Card

If your online ID verification is unsuccessful, you’ll need to complete your ID check in person at a Post Office instead.
