Do you charge commission?

Yes, we do. And we’re completely open about this. This money goes towards paying for the website’s upkeep, the features we offer, and our team of in-house staff that keep the show going. 

As educators ourselves, we know the value of a good tutor. Our mission from the start has been to provide tutors with a platform where they’re compensated fairly for their knowledge, expertise, and skill as a teacher. Therefore, we only charge an 18% commission on every lesson taught – a substantially lower figure than what other online tutoring platforms take.

We are a not-for-profit organisation, so if/when we do start making a profit this will be invested back into making the free revision resources you probably know, as well as funding the free bursary places on our courses which we give to students from low income or disadvantaged backgrounds.
