Can you help me find a tutor?

We have a wide range of tutors, including university students, graduates, qualified teachers, and examiners, with options to suit different budgets. With so many tutors to choose from, it can be hard to know who to pick – so we’re here to help.

If you’d prefer not to search through tutors yourself, you can use our Request a Tutor feature. Simply tell us what you’re looking for, and we’ll suggest tutors who match your requirements.

Because we personally interview all of our tutors, we’re able to recommend tutors whose experience and teaching style align with your needs.

To request a tutor, head to Requests and click the Request a tutor button.

You’ll be prompted to fill out a request form with a few details about the type of lesson you’re after (like the subject, level, and exam board), your availability for a lesson, as well as any specific preferences you would like from a tutor. You can also choose if this lesson is for yourself or for one of your student account holders.

After you submit your request, our team will begin the search while you sit back and relax! You can keep up to date with the status of your request at any time in your Requests. An orange Submitted badge next to your request means we’re hard at work searching for your tutor.

After we find a tutor that fulfils your request, we’ll let you know in your notifications and via email. You’ll see a green Matched badge next to your request and it will move into your Completed tab.

The details of your potential new tutors will be passed on and the rest is up to you. You can view their profile to find out more, give them a message, or book a lesson right away.

A new chat will be opened between you and any tutors we match you with, so you can head to your Messages tab to get the conversation going. Of course, your potential tutor will also receive your details, so you may receive a message from them.

Changed your mind? You can cancel a submitted request at any time by going to your Submitted tab in Requests and clicking the purple Cancel request button.

Changed your mind again? We don’t judge here. If you want to reopen a request after cancelling, just head to the Cancelled tab and click Reopen. This will make your request live again, and we’ll continue looking for your tutor.

You’re under no obligation to book any of the tutors we suggest. Our Request a Tutor feature was created to make your life a little easier with our recommendations, but sometimes we might miss the mark. If you want us to find someone else, drop us an email or contact us on our website and we’ll look for a better fit for you.
