What does the DBS check badge mean?

The DBS check profile badge (pictured below) indicates that a tutor has undergone an enhanced DBS check within the last three years.
An enhanced DBS check shows the full extent of a person’s criminal record, including cautions, reprimands and warnings, as well as spent and unspent convictions. The check is common practice for anyone working with children or vulnerable adults.
While we encourage all of our tutors to get an enhanced DBS check, we don’t make it compulsory.
