PowerPoint slides not updating when screen sharing
f you are presenting a PowerPoint in full-screen mode and your student can only see the first slide (or slides are not updating), this is usually caused by the wrong screen-sharing option being selected.
To avoid this issue, follow the steps below:
Open your PowerPoint presentation.
Start the presentation in full-screen mode.
Switch back to your Lessonspace session using ALT + TAB (or Windows key + TAB).
Click the Screen share button in Lessonspace.
Select Window (not Entire Screen).
Choose the PowerPoint window where the presentation is already running in full-screen mode.
Your student should now see the slides update correctly as you move through the presentation.
Using a second screen
If you regularly present slides, using a second monitor can help avoid screen-sharing issues. You can keep your PowerPoint presentation open on one screen and your Lessonspace Space on the other. This allows you to monitor your student while presenting.
Using Pop-out Video
To keep your student’s video visible while sharing your screen, use the Pop-out video feature in Lessonspace. This allows you to move the video feed so you can continue to see your student while presenting.
