What does "weak connection detected" mean?

Edited

If you see a warning in Lessonspace that says “Weak connection detected”, this means your internet connection may not be strong enough to support the lesson smoothly. It is shown by this icon:

Try the following steps to improve your connection:

Check your internet connection

Make sure you are connected to a stable Wi-Fi network. If possible, move closer to your router or use a wired (Ethernet) connection.

You can also run an online speed test to check whether your connection is strong enough for video calls.

Close unnecessary apps and tabs

Having multiple browser tabs, downloads or apps open can slow down your connection. Close anything you are not using, then refresh the page and rejoin the lesson.

Restart your router (if needed)

Restarting your router can sometimes improve connection stability. Please note that this will temporarily disconnect you from the lesson, so let your tutor know before doing so. Once your internet reconnects, rejoin the Space.

Reduce video usage (temporary measure only)

If your connection is still unstable, you may temporarily turn off your camera to help stabilise the session. Cameras are expected to remain on during PMT lessons, so this should only be used as a short-term solution while fixing the issue.

After making any changes, refresh the page and rejoin the Space.

If the warning continues to appear, you may need to move to a stronger internet connection to continue the lesson smoothly.
