What happens if my tutor cancels my lesson?

We encourage tutors to reschedule lessons where possible, but occasionally a tutor may need to cancel.

If this happens, you will receive an email notification and the lesson will move to the Cancelled tab.

No- you will never be charged if your tutor cancels a lesson.

If the lesson was due to start within 72 hours, a temporary card authorisation may already have been made. This is not a payment- it is simply a pre-lesson check made by our system.

When your tutor cancels, this authorisation is automatically cancelled. You may still see a pending transaction for a short time, but this will be removed by your bank within a few days.

We do not control how long this takes, as it depends on your bank’s processing times.
