What is your cancellation policy?

Edited

If you cancel a lesson more than 48 hours before it starts, you won't be charged.

If you cancel within 48 hours

If you cancel within 48 hours of the lesson start time, your tutor will be given three options:

  • charge the full lesson fee (100%)

  • charge part of the lesson fee (50%)

  • waive the fee entirely (0%)

The decision is made by your tutor and will depend on the circumstances. For example, a tutor may choose not to charge if it's an emergency or a one-off occurrence, but repeated last-minute cancellations are more likely to incur a charge.

Please note that rescheduling a lesson within 48 hours of the start time is treated in the same way as a late cancellation.

Why do you have a cancellation policy?

Tutors often spend time preparing for lessons in advance and reserve time in their schedule for each booking. When a lesson is cancelled at short notice, they may have little or no opportunity to offer that time to another student.

Our cancellation policy helps protect tutors from losing income due to last-minute cancellations, while still allowing them to take individual circumstances into account when deciding whether to charge for a late cancellation.

Our full cancellation policy is outlined in our Terms and Conditions.
