What’s the difference between a student account and a billpayer account?

Edited

There are two types of accounts: student accounts and billpayer accounts. Billpayer accounts oversee student accounts and manage payments. Billpayer accounts have a few more features than a student account, such as:

The billpayer dashboard: While student accounts have a dashboard too, the billpayer dashboard provides a bird’s eye view of everything going on. Here, billpayers can see their payment history and methods, lesson bookings, and keep an eye on how their students are getting on.

Billpayer/tutor chat: As well as the group chat, billpayers have private chats with their students’ tutors. Tutors can use it to provide billpayers with feedback, while billpayers can use it to arrange lesson times, ask questions and so forth. Student accounts don’t have access to private chats.

Permission controls: Billpayer accounts can also change the access controls of a student. For example, billpayers can allow their students to book and manage lessons from their own account, should you both decide that’s easier. For more information, see our FAQ on limited and full student accounts.
