How do I book a lesson?
Edited

If you’re a billpayer, or a student with a full account, you’ll be able to book lessons quickly and easily on our platform.

Booking a lesson with a new tutor

If you’re booking a lesson with a brand new tutor, you’ll have to find them first!

To browse through our database of hand-picked tutors, go to Find a tutor where you can choose to filter by subject, price, availability, and much more.

Once you’ve found a tutor you like the look of you can send them a message, or request a lesson during an available lesson slot.

How to request a lesson

Requesting a lesson will bring up the booking request form, where you will fill out:

  • Who the lesson is for (yourself or a linked student account)

  • The subject, level, school year and exam board

  • The student’s current working grade and the grade they’re aiming for

You’ll then be prompted to select a lesson slot from a calendar of your tutor’s availability. Just click a slot to select the lesson start time, and choose either a 60 minute, 90 minute, or 120 minute lesson duration (depending on your tutor’s availability). You can request multiple lessons; just click on another slot and repeat the process.

If you want to delete or edit a lesson request, just click on a selected slot and it will deselect. You can also delete a slot in the Request summary panel by clicking the red X button.

You will be able to review all of the lessons you’ve requested, and their respective price, in the Request summary panel.

Once you’re happy with your selection, you can enter your card details to pay for your lesson or use an existing payment method. Finally, you need to agree to our cancellation policy and then send your lesson request.

Booking a lesson with an existing tutor

If you’ve had a lesson with a tutor before and you’d like to rebook them, you can easily do this from your dashboard.

Go to your Bookings and click your tutor’s name, which will bring up all of your past and future lessons with that tutor.

Here, you can click Book another lesson to bring up the booking request form.
